About the Role

We are seeking a Solicitor to join our Private Client team on a full-time basis. The role is client-facing from the outset, with supervision and structured development. You will work on a varied caseload across the full spectrum of private client matters and contribute to business development and thought leadership.

The successful candidate can expect to advise on:

  • Wills, letters of wishes and codicils.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.
  • Estate administration, including probate applications, inheritance tax reporting and distribution of estates.
  • Trusts: establishment, administration, deeds of appointment and advancement, and related tax considerations.
  • Lifetime and succession planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax aspects.
  • Domicile, residence and cross-border succession issues.

You will work closely with senior lawyers on complex high value matters and will participate in business development, assist with the delivery of seminars and training, prepare articles and assist with other client relationship initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 2-years’ PQE in Private Client (newly qualified candidates with relevant training seat experience are however encouraged to apply).
  • Solid grounding in wills, probate and LPAs, with exposure to trusts and tax preferred.
  • Strong technical drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent client care skills with a professional, empathetic manner.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and committed to high standards of ethical practice.
  • STEP and Lifetime lawyer Accreditation, or willingness to progress towards the same.
