Morgan King Construction are currently looking for experienced Fire Door Joiners to start work completing fire door remedials on a social housing contract in Nottingham.
All operatives must have a small van for collecting materials. Work will include the following duties:
- Easing and adjusting doors to bring the gaps up to current standards (3mm) and allow the door to fully close into its rebate.
- Adjusting overhead door closers.
- Fitting new fire & smoke seals.
- Fitting fire door signage.
- Fitting face‑fixed drop‑down seals.
- Re‑lipping of doors where required to reduce perimeter gaps.
- Replacing hinges.
- Replacing door closers.
- Replacing door handles.
- Fire‑stopping behind architraves of existing door sets.
- Removing existing door sets and fully fitting new fire door sets to current standards following the manufacturer's installation guide.
Qualifications:
- Fire door remedial experience.
- CSCS Card – Blue / Gold.
- Own van.
- Experience using apps such as One Trace for logging work.
- PPE.
