Overview

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking five Laboratory Analysts to join their established asbestos laboratory team. These positions are available on a permanent or contract basis, with both full-time and part-time options to accommodate different working preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake asbestos sample analysis in accordance with UKAS accreditation and HSG248 standards.
  • Prepare, analyse, and report bulk and/or air samples accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Ensure all results and records meet required quality assurance and data integrity standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to maintain high operational standards.

Requirements

  • P401 (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples) certification is essential.
  • Experience within a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, both independently and within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
