Job Title: Laboratory Analyst (Asbestos) Location: [Insert location or “Various UK locations / On-site”] Employment Type: Permanent or Contract (Full-time or Part-time available) Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE) Overview: On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking five Laboratory Analysts to join their established asbestos laboratory team. These positions are available on a permanent or contract basis, with both full-time and part-time options to accommodate different working preferences. Key Responsibilities: * Undertake asbestos sample analysis in accordance with UKAS accreditation and HSG248 standards. * Prepare, analyse, and report bulk and/or air samples accurately and efficiently. * Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure consistent quality and reliability. * Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures. * Ensure all results and records meet required quality assurance and data integrity standards. * Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to maintain high operational standards. Requirements: * P401 (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples) certification is essential. * Experience within a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory is highly desirable. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work efficiently, both independently and within a team. * Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
