The Role As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately costing projects, preparing detailed tenders, and supporting the team in securing contracts for our prestigious projects. Responsibilities: * Project Evaluation: Review and assess project specifications, drawings, and tender documents. * Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractor work. * Tender Preparation: Compile and submit tenders in a timely and professional manner. * Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design integrity. * Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships. * Collaboration: Work closely with the in-house design, planning, and quantity surveying teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates. * Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and provide solutions to mitigate them in project estimates. * Post-Tender Support: Provide clarification and adjustments to estimates during client negotiations and project handovers. About You The ideal candidate will bring: * Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as an Estimator in high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects. * Project Expertise: Experience with projects valued between £150k and £3 million. * Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, particularly in the luxury fit-out sector. * Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive estimates. * Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. * IT Proficiency: Competence with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. * Qualifications: A degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
