Morgan King are currently looking for a Shift Engineer within the electrical sector on a permanent basis. The Role We are currently looking for an experienced electrical shift engineer to start with our well established client based in Ripley. The correct candidate will be excellent with problem solving, and proactive. This not only improves efficiency but also helps achieve business targets. Qualifications * Electrical maintenance apprenticeship. (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent) * 4 years of Practical working experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Environments * 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations – this is desirable and not a must. Duties * Ensure all machinery is operated safely. This could include providing proper training, enforcing safety protocols, and installing safety equipment. * Ensuring that all systems, machinery, and equipment comply with health and safety standards. * Reactive Maintenance: Reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns and minimise costly repairs. * Regularly scheduled maintenance can help prevent breakdowns and repairs. This could include routine inspections, cleaning, and servicing of machinery. * Implement a culture of continuous improvement where employees are encouraged to identify and suggest improvements. This could be in the form of process improvements, equipment upgrades, or training programs. * Regularly assess and improve site facilities. This could include optimising layout for efficiency, maintaining cleanliness, and upgrading facilities as needed. * Implement security measures to ensure the site remains safe and secure * Precise issue diagnosis, team collaboration, increased safety measures, and improve efficiency in system maintenance and repair. * Support key KPI’s with accurate data input to a CMMS system * Adhere to health and safety regulations Permanent Position Offering £37,846 plus benefits package along with career progression.
