We’re partnering with a high-impact organisation going through a significant engineering transformation, and they’re hiring a Head of Engineering to play a key role in shaping what comes next. This isn’t a maintenance role. This is about owning platforms, building high-performing teams, and driving engineering standards at scale.
The Opportunity
- You’ll take ownership of a critical product/platform made up of multiple services, leading both delivery and direction.
- You’ll work closely with Product to define the roadmap, while building and leading a team of Engineering Managers and senior engineers.
- At the same time, you’ll operate at a broader level, helping shape engineering strategy, architecture, and ways of working across the organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own end-to-end delivery across a complex product or platform.
- Partner with Product to define roadmap, priorities, and long-term strategy.
- Build and lead a team of Engineering Managers and senior engineers.
- Drive engineering standards across architecture, quality, SRE, and security.
- Improve deployment, monitoring, and incident response practices.
- Influence wider engineering strategy, tooling, and platform direction.
- Coach and develop engineering leaders and teams.
- Use data and metrics to continuously improve performance and outcomes.
- Manage stakeholders and drive alignment across the business.
