Morgan King are representing a well-established Electrical, Building, and Property Services company operating in Essex, Kent, and across the UK. This role involves regular travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays, depending on project requirements (with prior notice provided).

As a BMS engineer you will be required to carry out service and maintenance work, callouts and installations on existing customer BMS control systems.

  • 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime available)
  • 20 days holiday (increasing with length of service) + 8 bank holidays
  • Additional Leave - 2 extra days for the festive period and birthday

Responsibilities include:

  • General electrical maintenance and call outs
  • Repairing and replacing control equipment, including electrical wiring and fixtures (actuators, control modules, wall controllers & valves)
  • Installation of distribution boards
  • Selection and installation of suitable cable for the type and nature of installation
  • Connecting wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
  • Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics
  • Working independently or as part of a team on various projects
  • Completing risk assessments and user notes for each assigned job
  • Adhering to Health & Safety professional standards and company policies
  • Attending relevant training courses to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Being flexible with working hours, including potential weekend work

Qualifications required:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
