Job Overview:
The Vessel Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of crew transfer vessels, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintenance schedules, and crew management. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and can adapt to a range of operational challenges in the offshore sector.
Main Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of crew transfer vessels in compliance with safety and maritime regulations, collaborating closely with the HSE department.
- Oversee vessel maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise crew members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Coordinate vessel movements, scheduling, and logistics to meet project demands.
- Ensure all required certifications, documentation, and records are current.
- Conduct safety drills, briefings, and risk assessments in collaboration with the HSE team.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor fuel consumption, operational costs, and budgetary requirements to maintain cost-efficiency.
- Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in meetings, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any additional tasks as required to support the role effectively.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial role
- Strong IT skills
- Valid Passport
- ENG1 Medical
- Full driving licence
