Senior Design Engineer Full Time East Kent Circa £60k DOE Please note, I cannot consider candidates who require sponsorship for this role, so please do not apply if you do not already have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to work for a market leading Engineering company with multiple sites. Duties include: Lead the creation and improvement of new and existing products, focusing on innovation and customer needs. Take charge of design quality, ensuring compliance with performance, regulatory, and customer standards. Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and technical specs. Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and ensuring top performance. Oversee projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain technical standards. Conduct design reviews and provide technical support to the team. Support testing and certification, resolving design issues as needed. Oversee prototype creation and testing to meet design goals and standards. The successful Senior Design Engineer will have/be: Relevant mechanically biased Engineering qualifications – degree level or equivalent Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Precision in design and documentation. Experience in driving new product design. Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
