What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading dimensional and surface measurements using advanced optical, contact, and digital systems
  • Driving inspection method development and continuous improvement projects
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supervising students
  • Innovating inspection processes, improving efficiency and capability
  • Analysing and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
  • Supporting calibration, maintenance, and adherence to quality and EH&S standards
  • Engaging in new technology research and collaborative engineering programmes

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with 5+ years’ experience
  • Masters in metrology or precision engineering is highly desirable
  • Solid experience in precision and automotive engineering, ideally in diesel fuel injection
  • Expertise in dimensional metrology, surface finish measurement and 3D metrology software
  • Strong analytical skills and applied knowledge of MSA, gauge R&R and measurement uncertainty
  • Confident with 3D CAD, MATLAB, Python, and VBA
  • Excellent communicator and problem-solver with leadership qualities and a proactive mindset
  • Committed to high standards, 5s, and continuous improvement
