About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Joinery Apprenticeship Tutor to join their team on a temporary three-month assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified assessor and skilled joinery professional to support apprentices in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to succeed in the construction industry.
Working closely with learners and employers, you will deliver high-quality apprenticeship training and assessment, helping apprentices progress through their qualifications while ensuring an engaging and supportive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver apprenticeship training and assessment for Joinery learners.
- Conduct workplace assessments, progress reviews, and performance monitoring.
- Support apprentices in achieving their qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding organisation requirements.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to maximise learner achievement and progression.
- Build strong relationships with employers to support positive apprenticeship outcomes.
- Ensure all delivery meets quality, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams to enhance the learner experience.
About You
- Occupational competency and significant industry experience within Joinery.
- Relevant Joinery qualification up to Level 3.
- TAQA/CAVA, A1 Assessor Award, or equivalent assessing qualification.
- IQA qualification or Internal Quality Assurance experience.
- Previous experience assessing Joinery Apprenticeships.
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and funding requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CET, DET, or equivalent).
- Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes within an FE College or training provider environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry legislation, regulations, and best practice.
