Our client, a respected education provider, is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to support the day-to-day running of the college campus. This full-time role operates on a shift pattern (mornings or afternoons) and plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean and professional environment for students, staff and visitors. You’ll be responsible for opening and securing buildings, supporting general maintenance, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld, and assisting with room setups and deliveries. Your friendly and professional approach will help shape the overall experience of everyone on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in shift rota and securing premises
  • Supporting cleanliness and waste removal
  • Maintaining clear corridors and fire exits
  • Setting up rooms and assisting with furniture moves
  • Handling deliveries and internal distribution
  • Performing routine maintenance and supporting risk assessments
  • Responding to emergencies and assisting with evacuations
  • Providing First Aid when required

Qualifications

  • Experience in caretaking, maintenance or security (education sector desirable)
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards)
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate
