Are you passionate about science and looking for your first opportunity in the industry? Have you recently completed your science A-Levels and want to gain valuable hands-on laboratory experience?

We are looking for a Trainee Laboratory Scientist to join our friendly and supportive team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience within the medical device sector, working alongside experienced scientists and learning a wide range of laboratory techniques. No previous industry experience is required. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a genuine interest in science, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with testing a variety of medical devices in a laboratory environment.
• Learn how to follow scientific procedures and testing methods accurately.
• Record results and maintain clear, organised documentation.
• Help prepare laboratory equipment and materials for testing.
• Work closely with experienced scientists who will support your training and development.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Contribute to projects that help ensure medical products are safe and effective for patients.

What We're Looking For

• Has recently completed A-Levels (particularly in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Is interested in building a career within science, laboratory testing, healthcare, or research.
• Has excellent attention to detail.
• Enjoys practical, hands-on work.
• Is organised and able to manage their time effectively.
• Can follow instructions and procedures carefully.
• Has good written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
