Morgan Jones is working confidentially with a well-established, expanding manufacturing business seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to strengthen its quality function during a period of significant investment and growth. This is a hands-on senior role, ideal for an experienced Quality Inspector looking to progress their career into process improvement and technical leadership within a precision manufacturing environment.

The role
- You will act as a senior point of reference within inspection, ensuring components and assemblies meet customer, regulatory, and ISO 9001 requirements while supporting and guiding others.
Key responsibilities
- Detailed inspection of precision sheet metal components and assemblies
- Operation and programming of CMM equipment
- First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Raising and supporting NCRs and corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Mentoring junior inspectors and advising production teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Essential experience
- 5+ years in a relevant ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
- Strong CMM programming and operation experience
- Senior or lead inspection background
- Excellent drawing and GD&T interpretation
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
