We are currently recruiting for a Shot Blasting Operative to join a busy industrial environment in Sittingbourne. This is a hands-on position working with metal components, preparing surfaces to the required standard and supporting the wider production team. The role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with previous shot blasting or relevant industrial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating shot blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces
  • Preparing and finishing components to the required specification
  • Working with materials and components up to 5 metres in length
  • Inspecting finished work to ensure quality and consistency
  • Identifying and reporting any issues with components
  • Supporting the wider production team with additional duties when required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Following all company health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in shot blasting or a similar industrial environment
  • Experience working with large metal components would be beneficial
  • Good attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on and physically demanding environment
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
