About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Joinery Lecturer to join their Construction department on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled joinery professional with a passion for education to help develop the next generation of tradespeople. Working with both full-time learners and apprentices, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and supporting students as they work towards industry-recognised qualifications and career goals. This role offers the chance to make a real impact by sharing your practical industry knowledge and helping learners gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Level 1 to Level 3 Joinery programmes.
- Teach and support apprentices working towards industry-recognised standards.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities in line with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support students to achieve successful outcomes and progression opportunities.
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Promote positive behaviours, professional standards, and safe working practices.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support teams to enhance the learner experience.
About You
- Relevant qualifications and substantial industry experience within Joinery or Construction.
- Experience teaching or training within a Further Education environment.
- Recognised Teaching Qualification.
- Ability to deliver Level 1 to Level 3 Joinery programmes, including apprenticeships.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Strong commitment to learner achievement and progression.
- Passion for developing future talent within the construction industry.
