About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Estates Group Decorator to support the upkeep and enhancement of college buildings across all campuses. Reporting to the Director of Estates, Facilities, Health & Safety and Security, you will play a key role in maintaining high visual and safety standards across a diverse estate. This is a cross-site position requiring regular travel, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and the ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a wider Estates team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, filling and removal of old coverings.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces.
- Install internal and external vinyl coverings.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure correct branding, colours and finishes.
- Develop and manage a planned schedule of decorating works across all campuses.
- Carry out planned maintenance tasks and respond to reactive repair requests.
- Perform sealing and mastic work in bathrooms, kitchens and other suitable areas.
- Assist with general maintenance duties such as exam room setups or furniture moves.
- Comply fully with COSHH and health & safety regulations.
- Work safely at height, including use of scaffolding or platforms when required.
About You
- Proven experience in painting and decorating.
- Recognised industry qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance.
- Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and data protection standards.
