About the Role
Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful manufacturing business seeking a proactive and organised Material Controller to join their team. This is a hands-on role that will play an important part in ensuring materials and components move efficiently from goods-in through to production. Working closely with purchasing and production teams, you will help maintain stock accuracy, support manufacturing operations and ensure materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitting and issuing materials for production orders
- Identifying, reporting and helping resolve material shortages
- Managing and replenishing Kanban systems
- Carrying out goods-in inspections and quality checks
- Controlling safety-critical components in line with company procedures
- Replenishing production consumables
- Completing routine stock checks and stocktaking activities
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Liaising with purchasing and production teams to ensure smooth material flow
- Following company policies, procedures and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Well-organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within manufacturing, electronics, stores or warehouse environments
- Strong communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
- Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties
- SAP knowledge would be advantageous
