Lead a Trust-wide information governance programme, shape data protection strategy, oversee DSPT compliance, manage FOI and information security initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders.

Location: Croydon

Pay Rate: £28.95 per hour PAYE (Holiday Pay Inclusive)

Duration: 3 months

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday 37.5 hours

The Opportunity: Morgan Jones is recruiting confidentially on behalf of a respected healthcare organisation seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving information governance, data protection, information security, records management, and Freedom of Information compliance across the organisation. Working closely with senior executives, you will lead governance initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote best practice in the management and protection of information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the organisation's Information Governance framework.
  • Oversee Data Security and Protection Toolkit compliance and submissions.
  • Provide expert advice on UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, FOI and related legislation.
  • Support DPIAs, data sharing agreements and information risk management activities.
  • Investigate data breaches and information security incidents.
  • Maintain information asset registers and records of processing activities.
  • Develop, implement and review information governance policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training programmes and awareness campaigns across the organisation.
  • Produce reports, audits and performance measures for senior committees.
  • Manage key relationships with regulators and external partners.
  • Line manage Information Governance support staff.

About You:

  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
  • Recognised Information Governance qualification.
  • Significant healthcare, social care or large organisational IG experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, FOI and information security principles.
  • Experience of DSPT compliance, audits and policy development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and drive organisational change.
