Our client, one of the largest specialist providers of mental health services in the voluntary sector located in North London, is currently looking to recruit a HR Advisor to work on a Temporary - Permanent basis. You will be working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30. This role will be paying an hourly rate of £16.00 per hour.
The successful candidate will provide advice and guidance to managers on the full range of employee relations related activities as set out in the HR Service Level Agreement.
Duties & Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for all employee relations related issues in their specific areas, covering for colleagues in their absence.
- Provide consistent, comprehensive and professional HR advice and support to Managers on a full range of HR and Employee Relations issues, ensuring practice is in line with procedure and legally compliant.
- Track actions to ensure consistency and ease of handover between colleagues.
- Support and coach managers in the resolution of more complex issues through attendance at performance, sickness, discipline, grievance hearings as required.
- Proactively work with managers to enable better use and understanding of HR policies and processes and/or provide workshops that guide managers and staff in key HR processes.
- Monitor and manage procedural compliance with standard HR Policies and Procedures taking action where targets or processes require this, including absence management, probationary periods, 48 hours working, appraisals, capability and conduct issues.
- Working closely with HR Business Partners to ensure smooth and timely transfer of employment or changes due to service loss or acquisition.
- Assist with the expansion of HR services to 'new' partner organisations.
- Revise and update HR Policies and Procedures as and when required, ensuring compliance with current employment law and business need.
- Produce monthly and quarterly management reports to proactively manage cases with managers, using Excel and Word.
- Educated to degree level.
- CIPD qualified or working towards.
- Up to date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience of providing sound HR advice across the full range of employment issues.
- Experience of working with multi-site, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Up to date knowledge of TUPE legislation/process and change management is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of producing MI reports using Excel & Word.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisation skills, able to plan and manage own workload.
- Able to travel within UK/England and stay away from home overnight.
