About the Role
Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established organisation seeking a Payroll & Pensions Assistant to support the delivery of an accurate and efficient payroll and pensions service.
This role will suit a highly organised individual with payroll administration experience and strong attention to detail.
Working within a busy team, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and pension contributions are processed in line with legislative and scheme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of an accurate and timely pensions administration service.
- Ensure pension contributions are correctly deducted, reconciled and submitted.
- Maintain payroll and pension records accurately and confidentially.
- Allocate payroll costs to the correct cost centres and cost codes.
- Prepare pension returns for relevant pension schemes.
- Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs when required.
- Respond to employee queries relating to pay and pensions.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with payroll procedures and pension regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within payroll, pensions administration or a similar finance function.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Good IT skills, including experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.
