IT Infrastructure & Security Technician – Whitstable,£30,000–£35,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure including networks, servers and user devices
  • Support LAN, WAN, switches, Hyper‑V, SAN and telephony systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and security incidents
  • Assist with patching, updates and vulnerability remediation
  • Support audit preparation including Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001 and GDPR
  • Maintain security controls, policies and documentation
  • Assist with IT stock management and procurement
  • Support security awareness and training tracking
  • Work with wider teams to resolve incidents in line with SLAs

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT role
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Experience with helpdesk systems and ticketing tools

Desirable

  • Knowledge of O365, Hyper‑V, Meraki or endpoint management tools
  • Understanding of cyber security frameworks and practices
  • Relevant qualifications such as CompTIA Security+
