Customer Account Coordinator

Do you have previous experience managing customer accounts, quotations, and orders within a customer service or sales support role? Are you able to work on-site in Whitstable during your probation period before moving to a hybrid working arrangement?

Location: Whitstable, Kent

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Mon-Thurs 8am – 4.30pm and Fridays 8am – 1.30pm

About the Role

Our Client is seeking a professional and customer-focused Customer Account Coordinator to join their busy Customer Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting customers throughout the full order lifecycle.

Initially, this role will be fully office-based during probation. Following successful completion of probation, hybrid working will be available, with three days in the office and Mondays and Fridays working from home. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring customers receive a seamless service from enquiry through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer quotations and sales orders in line with company KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing outstanding service at every stage.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, pricing, and lead times using internal systems and procedures.
  • Proactively follow up quotations and support order conversion.
  • Monitor and manage customer orders through to shipment.
  • Communicate regularly with customers throughout the quotation and order lifecycle.

  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling products and services.
  • Support Business Development Managers with customer and order information.
  • Maintain accurate records and customer data within company systems.

About You

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales support, account coordination, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good commercial awareness and confidence working with pricing and quotations.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment would be advantageous.
