This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer or plumber to work across a diverse estate, maintaining vital systems that support the delivery of essential services. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on mechanical systems and plant.
- Maintain heating, steam, plumbing, water, HVAC and associated systems.
- Service and repair specialist equipment including sterilisation and decontamination systems.
- Undertake installation and improvement projects.
- Complete inspection, testing and commissioning activities.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues where required.
About You
- Must have Level 3 Qualifications / AM 1 and 2 City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Services or equivalent.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of heating, water, plumbing, HVAC or steam systems.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces when required.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends and on-call duties.
Desirable
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- HVAC qualification.
- Experience within a hospital or healthcare environment.
