We are looking for an Animal Technician to work in Edinburgh on a temporary contract of 8‑12 months. The position offers a salary of £12.71 per hour and requires full‑time commitment on a weekly rota that includes some weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and monitor the welfare of the animals closely.
- Clean animal cages and all tools thoroughly, following strict hygiene procedures.
- Feed and attend to the general well‑being of the animals.
- Carry out weaning procedures.
- Pack orders according to customers’ requests.
- Contribute to the maintenance of an efficient Quality Management System.
- Perform other duties as deemed reasonable.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Be flexible, patient, courteous, and willing to acquire new skills and knowledge.
- Work well under strict hygiene conditions.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
