Administration Assistant
Salary: £14 - £14.50 Hours: 60 – 74 Fortnightly Contract: Temporary to Permanent Location: Sandwich
We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our client’s HR team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join an established business, supporting the HR Manager with a varied range of administrative duties.
The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, proactive and confident handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Role
- Providing general administrative support to the HR team
- Creating and maintaining employee personnel files
- Maintaining confidential employee information in line with GDPR requirements
- Assisting with HR documents, spreadsheets and databases
- Supporting HR projects and employee engagement activities
- Maintaining employee training records and assisting with training allocation
- Coordinating interviews, internal visits and visitors
- Preparing recruitment documentation and new starter induction packs
- Supporting the onboarding process, including obtaining ID documents and employment references
- Sending new starter forms and ordering ID badges
- Maintaining the recruitment mailbox
- Updating organisational charts and staff notice boards
- Updating employee information on internal HR systems
- Assisting with clock card anomalies and pre-payroll reports
- Supporting staff social and engagement events
- Scanning and filing
- Taking confidential notes and minutes when required
- Providing general administration support to other areas of the business as required
About You
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an office administration role
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An Administration qualification at Level 2 or above is desirable
