The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced ESOL Lecturer to join their team on a temporary part-time basis until October.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners from diverse backgrounds in developing their English language skills, increasing confidence, and progressing towards their personal, academic, and employment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging ESOL lessons to learners with varying abilities and language levels.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality learning materials aligned to curriculum requirements.
  • Assess, monitor, and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and learner outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body and organisational requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote excellent teaching and learning standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience delivering ESOL programmes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds.
  • Commitment to delivering a positive learner experience.
  • Relevant ESOL qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience within Further Education or Adult Learning settings is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ESOL assessment frameworks and accredited qualifications is beneficial.
