About the Role: Our Client is seeking a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join their manufacturing team in Whitstable. This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy production environment, offering the opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of the plant. Working under the guidance of the Shift Manager, you will support day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quality checks and record results accurately
  • Follow standard operating procedures and complete all required paperwork
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production areas
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely, including pallet trucks or forklifts where trained
  • Assist across different areas of production including packing, feeding, blending and decanting
  • Report any faults or issues with equipment promptly
  • Carry out routine plant and equipment checks
  • Ensure all duties are completed in line with health and safety requirements and PPE guidelines

About You:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Forklift or pallet truck experience is beneficial
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes accurately
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team
