Join a cutting-edge engineering environment as a Software Validation & Verification Engineer. Build robust V&V frameworks, test safety‑critical software and influence best practice on new products. This is a hands‑on role with real influence, working alongside mechanical, electronics and systems engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement and best practice.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a structured validation and verification environment, supporting the full software lifecycle and contributing to Agile delivery. You’ll also act as a technical reference point within the team and support internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties include:

  • Developing, documenting and executing software and firmware test activities
  • Creating and maintaining V&V processes and test environments
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and product demonstrations
  • Supporting audits and working within ISO 9001:2015
  • Troubleshooting and supporting software solutions
  • Collaborating across engineering disciplines
  • Occasional customer and supplier visits

About you: You’ll bring strong experience in software/firmware validation, ideally within safety‑critical or electro‑mechanical environments, and be comfortable working in small, Agile teams.

Key experience and knowledge:

  • C, C++, C#, .NET and Visual Studio
  • Software design, test and full lifecycle delivery
  • Embedded software and LabVIEW (advantageous)
  • Understanding of electronics and schematics (desirable)
  • Structured development methodologies

Security requirement: Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.
