Morgan Jones is working confidentially with a well-established, expanding manufacturing business seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to strengthen its quality function during a period of significant investment and growth. This is a hands-on senior role, ideal for an experienced Quality Inspector looking to progress their career into process improvement and technical leadership within a precision manufacturing environment.

The role: You will act as a senior point of reference within inspection, ensuring components and assemblies meet customer, regulatory, and ISO 9001 requirements while supporting and guiding others.

Key responsibilities:

  • Detailed inspection of precision sheet metal components and assemblies
  • Operation and programming of CMM equipment
  • First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Raising and supporting NCRs and corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Mentoring junior inspectors and advising production teams
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Essential experience:

  • 5+ years in a relevant ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
  • Strong CMM programming and operation experience
  • Senior or lead inspection background
  • Excellent drawing and GD&T interpretation
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills
