About the Role and Client
Our client is a trusted name in safety systems and engineering solutions. They are seeking a dedicated Technician to repair, test, and overhaul valve and cylinder assemblies, including hydrostatic testing and charging complete assemblies up to 4500 PSI.
Responsibilities
- Strip down valve assemblies
- Replace standard spares during overhaul
- Inspect and replace defective parts
- Thoroughly clean components
- Build valve assemblies for testing on flow rigs
- Conduct hydrostatic testing per Department of Transport standards
- Reassemble valve and cylinder components
- Charge assemblies to pressures up to 4500 PSI
- Provide ad-hoc support to the safety inflatable team
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience interpreting and following compliance manuals (essential)
- Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams
- Reliability, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
