Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry repairs, installations and maintenance works.
- Repair and maintain building fabric, fixtures and fittings.
- Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Undertake basic multi-trade duties including painting, decorating, glazing and minor plumbing works.
- Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Install specialist fixtures and safety-related building improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and material requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with estates colleagues, contractors and site staff.
- Escort contractors within secure working areas when required.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Work at height and within confined areas where necessary.
What We're Looking For
- National Certificate (BTEC/ONC) or equal NVQ Level 2 with relevant post experience
- Previous experience within carpentry, maintenance or building services.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- A standard DBS is essential
- Flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Full UK Manual driving licence is essential
