Our client, a well‑established and respected food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Specification Technologist to join their dedicated Technical and QA team. This office‑based role is ideal for someone highly organised, detail‑focused and passionate about food safety.

You’ll support the Technical Department through managing product specifications, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities include:- Creating and maintaining finished product specifications
- Keeping all live product data up to date
- Ensuring legal compliance for labelling and food safety
- Liaising with suppliers for accurate technical information
- Supporting NPD, QA and wider teams
- Assisting with artwork creation and approvals
- Managing customer technical queries and complaint systems
- Maintaining internal audit processes
- Updating integrity lists and customer databases
- Supporting supplier approval and risk assessments
- Contributing to customer audits and visits
- Handling imported goods non‑conformances
- Completing traceability, GMP and systems audits
- GCSE English & Maths (C/4 or above)
- Strong communication skills
- 2+ years food sector admin experience
- 4+ years general admin experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident with IT systems
- Proactive, organised and able to meet deadlines
- Right to work in the UK
