Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented CAD/SolidWorks Detailer to support the creation of high‑quality manufacturing and fabrication documentation. This role is focused on converting concepts, engineering input, and design information into precise, production‑ready drawings and technical packages. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams, machinists, fabricators, and manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and ready for manufacture.
Responsibilities
- Produce manufacturing‑ready 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and CAD software
- Create detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded views
- Apply accurate dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, fasteners, and material specifications
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering and manufacturing standards
- Support design revisions and engineering change updates
- Liaise with production and fabrication teams to resolve drawing or build issues
- Verify that components and assemblies are practical and manufacturable
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a CAD Detailer, CAD Technician, or SolidWorks Detailer role
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Background in producing construction‑related drawings
- Ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, or manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing constraints
