Join a cutting-edge engineering environment as a Software Validation & Verification Engineer. Build robust V&V frameworks, test safety-critical software and influence best practice on new products. This is a hands-on role with real influence, working alongside mechanical, electronics and systems engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement and best practice.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a structured validation and verification environment, supporting the full software lifecycle and contributing to Agile delivery. You’ll also act as a technical reference point within the team and support internal and external stakeholders.
Main duties include:
- Developing, documenting and executing software and firmware test activities
- Creating and maintaining V&V processes and test environments
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and product demonstrations
- Supporting audits and working within ISO 9001:2015
- Troubleshooting and supporting software solutions
- Collaborating across engineering disciplines
- Occasional customer and supplier visits
About you: You’ll bring strong experience in software/firmware validation, ideally within safety-critical or electro-mechanical environments, and be comfortable working in small, Agile teams.
Key experience and knowledge:
- C, C++, C#, .NET and Visual Studio
- Software design, test and full lifecycle delivery
- Embedded software and LabVIEW (advantageous)
- Understanding of electronics and schematics (desirable)
- Structured development methodologies
