Our client is seeking a proactive and energetic Duty Officer to support the daily running of a busy sports centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a safe, engaging, and customer-focused leisure environment.
The Role
You will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring facilities run smoothly and customers receive an outstanding experience. Working on a flexible rota that includes evenings and weekends, you will open and secure the site while maintaining high standards throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily sports centre operations during shifts
- Ensure high standards of health & safety compliance
- Manage bookings and facility schedules efficiently
- Supervise and support staff on shift
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly
- Step in to cover absences and lead activities where required
About You
- Level 3 qualification in Sport or Leisure (or similar)
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
- First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous supervisory experience in a leisure setting
- Strong knowledge of health & safety practices
- Flexible approach to working hours
