Mechanical & Electrical Projects Manager

Location: Kent Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm Type: Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an experienced M&E Projects Manager/Engineer to deliver a varied portfolio of engineering projects.

This is a pivotal role offering autonomy, responsibility, and strong career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and oversee multiple engineering projects end-to-end
  • Ensure delivery within budget, programme, and quality expectations
  • Lead project teams and coordinate site activities
  • Monitor progress and report delays or risks to management
  • Oversee compliance with specifications, HSEQ policies, and standards
  • Review technical submissions and approve engineering deliverables
  • Maintain accurate project and design documentation
  • Support pricing of variations and monthly valuations
  • Monitor budgets and identify cost efficiencies
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Act as a key representative in project and progress meetings
  • Promote health, safety, environmental and quality best practice
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and H&S plans

About You

  • Proven M&E project engineering experience (building services)
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Confident working with clients and stakeholders
  • Relevant engineering or building services qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
