Our client, a well-established precision engineering company, is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their engineering team. You'll be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials against drawings and specifications
- Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
- Use measuring equipment including callipers, micrometres, and gauges
- Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation
- Identify non-conformances and raise Supplier NCRs
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality issues
- Support quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement activities
- Carry out first-stage inspections on customer returns
About You
- Previous quality inspection experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiar with quality processes and inspection tools (ISO 9001 desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good IT and communication skills
- Organised, proactive, and a strong team player
