Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to play a key role in design coordination, procurement, and project delivery across M&E projects. This is a hands-on position where you\\\’ll be involved from pre-mobilisation through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design surveys & provide detailed information to design teams
- Review tenders, focusing on design, programme, and risks
- Conduct design Q&A sessions with clients & project teams
- Submit & track RFIs to resolve project queries
- Create procurement documents & technical submittals
- Develop project programmes & highlight risks
- Measure labour & materials accurately
- Liaise with procurement to order materials, plant & equipment
- Review sub-contractor quotes & support contract awards
- Assist with design communication & support project QA
- Draft site instructions & commissioning documents
- Produce handover documents including O&M manuals
Requirements
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
- Experience in a similar Project Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of British Standards & M&E disciplines
- Excellent time management & ability to run multiple projects
- High attention to detail & report writing skills
- Strong communication at all levels (site to senior management)
- Knowledge of health & safety best practice
- Full UK driving licence
