About the Role: Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Governance Officer to join their Business Support function within Legal and Governance on a six month temporary basis. Reporting to the Head of Information Governance, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with information law, including the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations, and PECR. This is a senior, specialist role focused on the development and delivery of the Information Governance strategy, providing expert advice, oversight, and assurance across data protection, records management, privacy, and information security. The post offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office based and remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality Information Governance and Data Protection advice across the organisation, including shared service arrangements.
  • Deputise for the Head of Information Governance / Data Protection Officer as required.
  • Lead Information Governance assessments, strategies, roadmaps, and programme design to embed privacy by design and default.
  • Advise and support the maintenance of accurate Records of Processing Activities across service areas.
