Salary – £12.45 per hour

Location – Margate

Hours: 35 hours per week, Sunday – Thursday

Contract: Temporary – Permanent

We have a fantastic opportunity in Margate for an Animal Technician to work for one of our clients. You will be working full-time, on a weekly rota which will include some weekend work. This position will be a full‑time temporary to permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and monitor the welfare of the animals closely
  • Clean animal cages and all tools thoroughly, following strict hygiene procedures
  • Feed and see to the general well‑being of the animals
  • Carry out weaning procedures
  • Pack orders according to customers' requests
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an efficient Quality Management System
  • Other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to follow detailed instructions
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude and willingness to acquire and learn new skills, new knowledge, and new ways of working
  • Be patient and courteous
  • Have the ability to work under strict hygiene conditions
  • Due to the location, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Qualification in Animal Management or related subject
