Role Summary: Our Client is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee quality assurance and compliance within a busy packhouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring food safety, legality, and adherence to BRCGS standards, while supporting operational efficiency and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Quality Assurance team, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
- Prepare for and support external audits, responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain product specifications and ensure traceability across products and packaging.
- Conduct internal audits, hygiene checks, and compliance spot checks.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare monthly reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
About You:
- Strong understanding of fresh produce standards and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a production environment preferred.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
