Hours: Monday Thursday, 6:00am 2:15pm

Pay: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour (DOE) plus overtime paid at 1.5x

About the Role

Our Client is a growing UK manufacturing business seeking a reliable and motivated Bench Operative to join their production team in Sittingbourne. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality, and likes being part of a team-focused manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for carrying out finishing, assembly, and workshop operations on sheet metal components, ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out deburring, dressing, drilling, tapping, countersinking, reaming, tube bending, and sawing.
  • Assemble sheet metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Report quality concerns or equipment issues to the Team Leader.
  • Complete work to agreed production schedules and targets.
  • Follow all Health and Safety guidelines.
