About the Role
Our Client is a growing UK manufacturing business seeking a reliable and motivated Bench Operative to join their production team in Sittingbourne. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality, and likes being part of a team-focused manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for carrying out finishing, assembly, and workshop operations on sheet metal components, ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deburring, dressing, drilling, tapping, countersinking, reaming, tube bending, and sawing.
- Assemble sheet metal components using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Report quality concerns or equipment issues to the Team Leader.
- Complete work to agreed production schedules and targets.
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines.
