About the Role

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding client within the construction and infrastructure sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Consultant to join a growing team. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and converting enquiries into secured projects. Working alongside experienced estimating and operational teams, you will be responsible for driving sales activity and identifying opportunities across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities across commercial, industrial and residential markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Arrange and attend client meetings and site visits
  • Follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Identify upcoming projects and tender opportunities
  • Promote repeat business and client referrals
  • Work closely with estimating and operational teams
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Represent the business at networking and industry events

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, business development or account management
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to win new business
  • Self-motivated and target driven
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Experience within construction, civil engineering, highways, surfacing, aggregates or a related industry would be advantageous.
