The Opportunity
Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing organisation seeking an IT Systems Support Engineer to join its busy IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and contributing to the development of business systems. Alongside day-to-day support responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work on software enhancements, reporting, and wider IT improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to users across the business
- Configure new users, devices, and system access
- Resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform administration of PCs, servers, and infrastructure
- Assist with system upgrades and improvement projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Support reporting and data extraction using SQL
- Contribute to software development and system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11/Server
Desirable
- Networking knowledge including VLANs, routing, wireless and firewalls
- VMware and virtualisation experience
- C#, .NET, ASP WebForms or WinForms experience
- SQL Server and reporting knowledge
- Experience using ticketing systems
