Our client, a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, is seeking an experienced HSE Compliance Manager to ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and standards. This is a key role for a proactive professional who can manage systems, audits, and training while driving a culture of safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure legal compliance with all HSE requirements and implement changes as needed.
- Manage and monitor policies, risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
- Oversee compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
- Maintain COSHH and DSE registers and deliver HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Develop and execute health surveillance and wellbeing strategies.
- Collaborate with HR and management on risk assessments and occupational health referrals.
- Prepare reports for KPIs, board reviews, and monthly management meetings.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma (essential).
- Auditor trained with strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001.
- Proven experience in HSE roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
