Fire Testing Technical Technician

Location: Barfrestone, near Dover, Kent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Role Summary:
Our Client is seeking a skilled Fire Testing Technical Technician to join their team at a specialist testing facility. This role is pivotal in performing fire resistance tests on various products in accordance with BS, EN, and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fire resistance tests using fire testing furnaces and associated equipment.
• Monitor fire test rigs and software, reporting any errors or malfunctions.
• Measure, analyse, and accurately record data throughout the testing process.
• Maintain precise calibrations and manage documentation to ensure compliance.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar technical role.
• Strong mathematical and numeracy skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Some experience in structural engineering is essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 5:00 pm.
