About the Role and Client:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Buyer to ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials, maintain agreed stock levels, and achieve the best value for the business. You will play a key role in supporting production targets and supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Interpret requirement plans and manage purchase orders.
- Progress orders to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Analyse buying patterns and predict future trends.
- Negotiate contracts and assess supplier suitability.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve quality issues.
- Secure long-term cost agreements and review supply agreements.
- Support cost-down programmes and process ECNs.
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual systems.
- Record and report vendor performance data.
- Collaborate with accounts on financial data and budgeting.
- Act as SAP Super User for purchasing.
- Manage contractor fitments in line with production needs.

- High level of accuracy and organisational skills.
