Our client, a respected education provider, is seeking a dedicated Senior Safeguarding Officer to join their team. This is a vital role supporting students, staff, and external partners to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and referrals
- Manage your own caseload and meet required timelines
- Support the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Build strong working relationships with external agencies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Assist with Prevent duty activity
- Quality‑assure safeguarding risk assessments
- Deliver safeguarding training to staff
- Support Looked After Children (LAC) and Young Care Leavers
- Represent the college at internal and external meetings
- Contribute to maintaining a positive safeguarding culture across the organisation
About You
- Relevant safeguarding qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation (KCSIE, WTSC)
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office and internal databases
- Empathetic, professional, and committed to student welfare
- Able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings, and travel between sites
A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required for this role.
